Parish Retreats – Save the Date

Let the Light Shine, Women’s Day: Saturday, October 26, 2024, Men’s Day: Saturday, November 2, 2024, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Do you desire to deepen your Catholic faith? Are you looking for hope in a troubled world? Would you like to better honor and please God daily?

If so, we invite you to our fall retreats happening right here at  Good Shepherd.   These retreats will inspire deep reflection on Jesus, examine what it means to “be the Church,” call us to live with holiness, and challenge us to serve as signs of God’s goodness in the world.  Each retreat includes Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, opportunity for Confession, thought-provoking speakers, witness talks and discussions, as well as continental breakfast and lunch. We will explore:

Who is Jesus Christ?

Who and what is the Church?

What is the Universal Call to Holiness?

How do we become signs of God’s goodness in the world?

Both retreats will allow you to take time out from life’s busyness to spend quality time with Jesus and others in our Church family. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to strengthen your faith through learning, prayer, conversation, and connection with fellow retreatants. Don’t miss this chance for spiritual growth and renewal! We look forward to seeing you this fall!

The registration fee is $10 for Good Shepherd parishioners and $15 for non-parishioners to help pay for meals and materials. Sign up at the Parish Office, 717.761.1167 or visit the sites below.  Retreat team members will also be at Coffee and Donuts after the 9:30 a.m. Masses on 9/15, 10/6, and 10/20 as well as at Oktoberfest to answer any questions you may have and help you register.
