The Caring Team

Serving others is a form of expressing our faith in and to God. We were never meant to be alone in life. We need the love and care of others, as much as we are needed by others in the same ways.

Who wants to be part of a ministry of parishioners helping parishioners?  We are reorganizing our Parish Caring Team to help provide some help and support those in our parish family in need of a little tender loving care. We are forming a TEAM to help with various roles. For example:

· Making phone calls or visits to our homebound or infirm parishioners.

· Providing a meal for those recovering from surgery, welcoming a baby, or who have just suffered a loss.  Meals can be prepared either at home or as part of a group that will cook together and then freeze the meals so something is ready for an immediate need.

· Assistance with placing online grocery orders and pick-up.

· Other simple acts of kindness and connection.

This is a work in progress. We will continue to develop the mission of this ministry over the next several months. We will schedule a meeting at the end of the summer to discuss details. In the meantime, if this sounds like something you would like to take part in, please contact Sister Donna Marie Kemberling, SCC at 717.980.3610.
