Fourth Sunday of Advent

Dear Parish Family:

This Christmas marks the 2025th anniversary of the Birth of Jesus.  The Church throughout the world has called us during the Jubilee Year 2025 to celebrate this important commemoration through special prayer and sacred acts. We have been reminded that we are pilgrims of hope, always moving closer to Jesus.

The end of Jubilee Year 2025 begins a special year at Good Shepherd.  June 1, 2026, is the 75th Anniversary of our parish.  Since 1951, our parish has been a beacon of faith, hope, and love in our community. That light shines brightly through the good news proclaimed and the good works accomplished in the name of Jesus, the Good Shepherd.  The year ahead will include celebrations and activities that rejoice in our cherished history, dynamic present, and bright future filled with hope.

Every day, I witness the generosity, engagement, and faithfulness of our parishioners. While Jesus is our heart and center, you are His hands, feet, eyes, and ears. Thank you for your incredible goodness, patience, hard work, and support. You are living signs of hope to me.  I am humbled by you and grateful for you.

Be assured that I will remember you and your loved ones with warmth, gratitude, and love as I celebrate Christmas Mass. Please keep me in your prayers. May there only be peace on earth this Christmas as well as peace in each of our hearts.  May the New Born King fill you and yours with His light and peace! Blessings for a happy and holy Christmas!

Love and prayers,
Father Neil Sullivan
