September 27, 2026 • Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parish Family,

After a busy and incredibly exciting summer in our parish life, we are grateful that Father Sullivan had the opportunity to rest, recharge, perhaps perfect his sandcastle-building skills, and maybe even gather secret ingredients for his upcoming Soup Cook-Off entry. While Father was away, the parish staff filled in for this week’s Sullivan Script.

As we move into the fall season, our parish comes alive again with ministries, meetings, faith formation programs, outreach activities, and special events. The quiet days of summer are slipping away, but we could not be more excited. There is something special about seeing familiar faces return, welcoming new parishioners into our community, and gathering together to grow in faith and fellowship.

We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support, generosity, prayers, and participation. Whether you volunteer behind the scenes, attend Mass faithfully, serve in a ministry, support parish events, or simply offer a kind word of encouragement, you help make our parish a vibrant and welcoming family. We truly appreciate you and are blessed to walk this journey of faith together.

Speaking of parish fun, mark your calendars now for the Catholic Charities Soup Cook-Off on Saturday, October 10, at the Diocesan Center in Harrisburg! This first annual event will feature delicious food, great fellowship, and the chance to sample soups created by priests from across the Diocese. We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of fun, support a wonderful cause, and help determine this year’s top soup by casting your vote.

Of course, Father Sullivan would want us to remind you that he plans to be among the competitors. He’s been hinting for weeks that his recipe may have award-winning potential. Whether that’s confidence or wishful thinking remains to be seen, but we’re sure he’ll appreciate a strong showing from our parish family. Stop by, taste the entries, and vote for Father Sullivan! When you vote with a donation for your favorite soup, your donation goes directly to the parish. Tickets are just $10 per person or $25 for a family. You can get your tickets now at https://bit.ly/45L8uCk.

We look forward to seeing you as parish life gets back into full swing and our ministries and activities fill the calendar once again.

With gratitude,
Your Parish Staff
