Dear Sisters and Brothers:
In this Jubilee Year 2025, we are called to embrace our vocation to be Pilgrims of Hope. Jesus is our hope! He brings light to darkness, peace to any storm, and hope to anything and everything we face. May this Jubilee Year 2025 be a time for all of us to be Pilgrims of Hope. Always moving closer and closer to Jesus in everything we do.
This Lent we focused on the Way of the Cross, the Way of Hope. The Cross is indeed our hope. Jesus’ dying and rising destroyed death forever and opened heaven to all believers. With His arms outstretched on the Cross, Jesus invites us to embrace the crosses of our own lives. To see beyond the suffering of a moment to the victory the Crucified and Risen Christ promises. When misunderstandings arise, or sickness and sorrow come, or when we are tempted to think God has forgotten us, let us look to the Cross. Jesus’ love is stronger than anything we face. His Cross is our hope!
I extend a very special welcome to our guests and visitors. Good Shepherd Parish is grateful that you have come to our church for Easter. Maybe you are a Catholic who has not been to Mass for a long time. Maybe you are new to the area and need to find a parish. Maybe in your search for God, you are looking for a Church that you can call home. Whatever your story, we are happy that you are here!
We are all on a journey and have different stories of faith to share. Whatever our history, Jesus loves us more than we could ever imagine. Don’t be afraid to explore the possibility of living life as a member of God’s family, the Church. Stop by, call, or email us to find out how. Our contact information is on the front page of this bulletin. Please be in touch! We look forward to seeing you again!
To everyone who forms this incredible community of faith, be assured of my Easter prayers. Each day I am grateful to be your pastor and your brother in Christ Jesus. Please extend my warm and heartfelt Easter greetings to your loved ones. Always remember that I am grateful to and for you! I love you! You bring new life to me! Thank you!
A Blessed Easter to all of us! Let us embrace the Cross. Let us embrace the Resurrection. Let us embrace hope.
Love and prayers,
Father Neil Sullivan
