Easter Sunday

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

My brothers and sisters in Christ, may the joy and peace of the Lord Jesus fill our hearts this beautiful Easter as we celebrate the glorious Resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

Easter is the greatest of all feasts.  Why? Because the Resurrection changes
everything.  It proves that God will always triumph.  That good is stronger than evil.  That light will pierce the darkness. That grace is more original than sin. That life conquers death. That love always wins.   Because the Resurrection changes everything.  If Jesus can rise from the dead, then He can do anything.  He can change bread and wine into his Body and Blood.  He can change our lives.

As we prepare for the 75th Anniversary of our parish in June, may this Easter be a time of new life for us as we honor the past and look to the future with the eyes of hope.  May the Risen Jesus bring joy and hope to our hearts, our homes, and our parish family.  May Jesus truly rise in us.

I extend a very special welcome to our guests and visitors. Good
Shepherd Parish is grateful that you have come to our church for Easter. Maybe you are a Catholic who has not been to Mass for a long time. Maybe you are new to the area and need to find a parish. Maybe in your search for God, you are looking for a Church that you can call home. Whatever your story, we are happy that you are here!

We are all on a journey and have different stories of faith to share. Whatever our history, Jesus loves us more than we could ever imagine. Don’t be afraid to explore the possibility of living life as a member of God’s family, the Church. Stop by, call, or email us to find out how. Our contact information is on the front page of this bulletin. Please be in touch! We look forward to seeing you again!

To everyone who forms this incredible community of faith, be assured of my Easter prayers. Each day I am grateful to be your pastor and your brother in Christ Jesus. Please extend my warm and heartfelt Easter greetings to your loved ones. Always remember that I am grateful to and for you! I love you! You bring new life to me! Thank you!

A Blessed Easter to all of us!

Grace and peace!
