Dear Parish Family:

Priests are required to make a five-day spiritual retreat each year.  I will be making mine from August 4 through August 8, 2025, participating in the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Alumni Retreat at the seminary’s new campus in Ambler, Pennsylvania.   Please know I will be praying for every one of our parishioners and all who are part of the Good Shepherd faith community during these days of reflection and prayer.   I will then travel up to Cape Cod to visit with my cousins.  Family is important.  My father was one of seven children. They have all already gone to be with God.  I am the third youngest of 35 Sullivan cousins.  This is a chance each year for me to connect with them and for us to celebrate our heritage and our history.   Please pray for safe travel for me.  I will return on August 16, right in time for our parish picnic. I am grateful to Monsignor Quinlan who will be covering daily and weekend Masses, as well as Bishop Gainer who will help with Mass on the Assumption of Our Lady on August 15.
