Dear Parish Family:

The Season of Fall officially begins at the Autumnal Equinox when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. In the Northern Hemisphere the happens about September 22 or 23, as the Sun crosses the celestial equator going south. Labor Day marks the unofficial end of Summer, when things go back to a normal routine.  It used to be things would pick-up around August 15 to get ready for Fall, but now it seems like its July 4. Even though we have things that must be done to get ready for the start of new academic/ministry year, let’s not rush summer away. Let’s take time to rest, regroup, and renew.

That said, we have lot going on the between now and Labor Day here at Good Shepherd. In addition to our regular Mass Schedule, Sacraments, and Pastoral Care, keep an eye out for special things happening this summer here at Good Shepherd:

July 15: Registrations due for PREP to avoid additional late fee

August 6: Last Chance to Save $200 on our Rome Pilgrimage

August 8: Knights of Columbus/American Red Cross Blood Drive

August 15: Assumption of the  Blessed Virgin Mary

August 18: Parish Picnic

August 26: PREP Parent Meeting and Orientation

Have a great week every!

Grace and peace!

Father Neil Sullivan
