Dear Parish Family:

As we have been announcing, Good Shepherd, along with all the parishes in the Diocese of Harrisburg, is taking part in an exciting initiative to help is know, love, and serve Jesus.  It will help us embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can thrive and be a place for others to grow in faith.

The very first step in this process involves assessing our greatest strengths and opportunities. The Disciple Maker Index (DMI) is an important survey tool that invites you to reflect on your discipleship journey. The Disciple Maker Index is designed to:

· Invite parishioners to reflect on their journey of discipleship.

· Enable parish leadership to make data-driven decisions. 

· Help parishioners grow in their faith.

The Disciple Maker Index will give us valuable insights into how we can help our parishioners flourish as Christian disciples. This, in turn, can assist you in finding the joy of being a Catholic-Christian which may help others to discover their faith in God, too.

The 10–15-minute survey can be accessed through an online link that will be open from October 19, 2024 through November 24, 2024.   The DMI survey link will be sent via email to all registered households that receive email from us.   Paper surveys are available for those who do not have the ability to complete the survey online.  Please contact the parish office after October 21, 2024, to obtain your paper copy and instructions.  

All responses will be confidential, and the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole and will not see individual responses.  Thank you in advance for participating in the Disciple Maker index.   We look forward to the ways this will grace and grow our parish and every member’s faith.
